It is summer in Ga. Not the time of year you want to be in a car w/o a/c. Yesterday I turned it on and just hot air came out. Today I investigated. Looking from above I can see the clutch is not engaging. Looked at the fuse Ok. Tested the relay, passsed. Placed a DVM on the a/c relay power pins and got signal. Looking at the manual there is nothing beetween the relay and the clutch. If refrigerant was low, there would be no signal to the energize the relay. My question is: Can the clutch be removed with the compressor in place? I am getting ready to do the 60,000 mile service, perhaps this was the best time fot the a/c clutch to fail. Your advice and suggestions are appreciated.
